TAS & MATICA to Showcase Instant Issuing Solution at Cartes America 2014, Mirage, Las Vegas, May 13-15 Booth 1968 and /Booth 1605

LAS VEGAS, NV, May 13 – TAS Group announced today its new eMission™ instant issuing EMV solution that lets U.S. banks instantly issue secure EMV chip and pin cards in branches across the USA. TAS also announced that it has certified its innovative e-Mission™ instant card issuing EMV software solution with leading U.S. card personalization company MATICA Technologies, Inc. to offer financial institutions a secure, quick and flexible complete instant EMV card issuing solution.

The U.S. is in the process of migrating to EMV based chip cards, which are substantially more secure than conventional magnetic strip credit and debit cards.  Card Brands: American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa have mandated that U.S. payments infrastructure must be EMV compliant beginning 2015. TAS helps customers meet these deadlines.  TAS Group’s new e-Mission™ instant issuing product lets issuers and personalization bureaus issue and personalize EMV chip cards without modifying their existing card processing system.  Card issuing can be executed instantly in a bank branch and/or point of sale. The solution adapts to existing data flows generated by issuers to issue magnetic stripe cards, provides interfaces for EMV data preparation and manages keys and certificates. Issuers are not required to modify their data generation module, since e-Mission™ adds an intermediate step to the process and is fully autonomous. It supports EMV-compliant debit and credit applications but also CAP (Chip Authentication Program), DPA (Dynamic Passcode Authentication), Digital Signature, presence & access control, loyalty applications and much more.

“We are excited about the partnership with MATICA Technologies – a first class global provider of card personalization solutions to banking and payments customers,” commented Andrea Bianchi, executive Vice President, TAS Group.  “Our e-Mission™ instant issuing for EMV chip cards and our new partnership with Matica underscores the value of our technology offering which is to help our U.S. issuers, processors and acquirers meet U.S. EMV deadlines and migrate to EMV seamlessly and cost-effectively.”

“The eMisison™ platform has a deep track record of success in many major EMV markets around the world”, said Ennio Ponzetto, U.S. Country Manager, TAS Group. “It requires a minimum amount of time and effort to implement in issuer and bureaus environments. We are looking forward to demonstrating the solution with MATICA at Cartes America 2014.”

“Matica has been a leading provider of instant issuance embossing and flat graphics printing systems used for chip card issuance worldwide for many years now”, said Jonathan Bowen, Systems Sales Manager for North America, Matica Technologies. “With the announcement of the TAS Group, issuers have another option to meet the EMV deadline.”
